The Springfield Company’s first ‘Big Twin’, displacing 61ci (988cc), debuted  in 1909. By 1913, Indian was the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world. The model enjoyed a nine year production run and is still one of the most coveted American vintage motorcycles. Power developed is a healthy 18 BHP. Lighting system is acetylene with “Stockholm” lamp and cylinder.
